In 2008 I was part of the Primary Flight line-up in Wynwood, Miami — as a German artist among true originals. It was a time before the neighborhood became famous: raw, free, and completely uncommercial. We were painting walls when Wynwood was still an insider’s secret. For me, that was the real shit — street art in its purest form.

Who still remembers Wynwood before it became famous?

This work is not a still life.
A fragment breaking away from its origin, finding direction in a new place. Like my time in Portugal — calm, distance, ocean wind, and something new I didn’t expect.

A piece of wood that once belonged to something larger. Cut, broken, left behind.
I give it a new order, a new system, a new direction.
Geometry meets history — and a new body emerges.

Created in Portugal —
This wooden relief is shaped from old timber that carries its own history. I don’t force it into something fixed — I let it become what it wants to become.
In that process, something simple happens:
the material speaks, I let go, and a quiet connection forms.

Beauty from what has already lived.
Movement born from release.
Connection through creation.
